About Daunia Mine: Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven's existing Winchester South development project. Daunia features state-of-the-art infrastructure and mining operations, including well-established autonomous equipment and infrastructure About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Production & Mine Services Supervisors to join us at our newly acquired Daunia site. Our supervisors are accountable for the overall day to day performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the production work areas to assist in obtaining maximum safety, productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation. You will be joining a team with a proven track record in delivering consistent production outcomes within a fully operational autonomous haulage fleet which has been embedded at Daunia for the past 3yrs. We also offer: FIFO from Brisbane / Cairns on a 7on/7off roster Camp accommodation provided with full messing facilities What You'll Do Mange the safe and efficient operation of mobile machinery and other plant in an open cut environment to maximise production. Monitor production and coal quality targets and ensure mining work is performed in accordance with mining plans so that coal targets are met. Maintain and drive the mining process, monitor efficiencies and ensure any deviations to the process are captured. Ensure equipment is used and maintained appropriately and utilisation is aligned with budget including but not limited to first and last loads, allocated crib breaks, minimising blast delays and hot seating of equipment. Lead continuous improvement activities to increase mining and plant efficiency. What You'll Bring RIIRIS301 / RIIWHS301 / RIICOM301 (formerly S1, S2, S3) RIIRIS402 (formerly G2) A commitment to safety Experience as a supervisor in the mining industry; Production mining experience with statements of competency/VOC's for equipment CAT Command Autonomous Haulage System experience is desirable but not essential Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.
