About the role Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Precast Production Manager to join our team based in our precast manufacturing facility in Kelso, NSW. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, this is a newly created leadership role overseeing precast production. Working alongside the precast team, you will be responsible for leading and driving team capability, output quality and efficiency, capacity growth, a safety-first focus and ensuring smooth running of the precast facility. Key Responsibilities Working alongside the Precast Factory Supervisor and Precast Coordinator to ensure effective production scheduling, procurement and production output, maximising overall daily output Maintaining a safety-first culture in the precast facility Implementing best-practice procedures / SOPs, ensuring a focus on quality Ensuring effective stock control, procurement, and negotiation of supplier rates Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, team members and internal stakeholders Ensuring all plant, tools and lifting gear are maintained and compliance records kept up to date Reviewing shop drawings, marking up additional production elements required and providing feedback to relevant teams on materials, labour costs and drafting Develop and implement growth strategies to support business requirements and growth targets About you To be successful in this role, you will have: A safety-first mindset and the belief that safety comes before productivity At least 10 years' production management experience, preferably with experience in precast Extensive leadership experience, including managing change and driving team performance Exceptional communication skills and the ability to align teams to deliver best-for-business outcomes The ability to coach, guide and develop team members to deliver their best work and grow in their career Exceptional attention to detail and a quality focus, always seeking to deliver your best work and inspiring others to do the same Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease A genuine interest in Akura, what we do and how we do it Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite You'll also be: A team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude A natural relationship-builder, able to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels Someone who identifies and embraces opportunities for improvement What we offer you An exciting career opportunity in a market-leading business experiencing rapid growth Opportunity to grow your career – we invest in our people A supportive and collaborative team environment Inclusion in the Akura Factory Bonus Scheme Interested?
