We are looking for Production Superintendent to join our Burton Mine Complex, on a permanent full-time basis, 8/6 day shift only roster. As a key member of senior leadership team you will play an integral role in influencing the project's safety and production outcomes. You will have a strong focus on supervision of all mining and earth moving equipment, and lead safe and effective production teams, as well as drive continuous improvement principles.
Reporting to the Project Manager your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring continuous maximisation of coal recovery and minimising grade dilution during the mining processMaintain a high-level of safety awareness of all employees and contractorsManaging the production on site by optimising plans, methods, equipment, schedules, and expenditureEnsure ongoing effective people management of the crew by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training and skills developmentComplying with safety policies and procedures.Communicating with the workforce regarding compliance to plans and production targets and communicating variances to those targets.As an experienced Production Superintendent you will ideally possess:
Front line leadership, and S1,2,3, G2 qualifications.5-10 years experience in an open cut coal mining leadership positionDemonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviourEffective people management and development experience and skillsStrong organisational, communication and planning skillsDemonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.Experience working for a medium to large mine operator desirableAbility to commit to an 8 / 6 Roster Company description:
