This leading supplier of steel products is looking for Production Operators to join their team Your new company With over 50 years' history, this client is an industry leader in the manufacturing / production sector, providing steel products to an extensive customer base. Due to ongoing growth and expansion of their current facilities in the Southern Suburbs, they are looking to grow their on-site team and require Production Operators on an ongoing basis.
Your new role You will be required to operate various production and packaging machinery for the manufacturing of this companies' product. A background in manufacturing or packaging is desirable but not essential as the client will train you on all the technical knowledge and skills you need to perform in this role.
You will work a 9-day fortnight with 5 days of day shifts followed by 4 days on the afternoon shift. These roles are based in the southern suburbs and local candidates are encouraged to apply.
What you'll need to succeed A good understanding of heavy manufacturing environments and production line processes
Mechanical aptitude desirable
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Available to work a rotating day and afternoon shift roster (5 days, 4 afternoons)
A positive attitude and able to work well in a team
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
