The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our production team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an opportunity to become a part of a brand new reinforced concrete pipe plant that is in the final stages of construction. The site is located only 5 minutes north of the fast growing area of Grafton NSW, in the beautiful Clarence valley. We are a small team with a family-like environment. You will be expected to assist the team with the delivery of our production KPI's by ensuring our team understands and implements current safe operating procedures, whilst implementing continuous improvement activities to ensure we always do our best to reduce downtime and costs of production. You will be expected to advise of any problems you can foresee, and report them to your stakeholders. Leading by example in regard to our approach to safety is of utmost importance. About You Fitter / mechanical qualifications or experience in steel welding & fabrication is an advantage Forklift license advantage but not essential Sound planning and problem solving skills Be able to lead a team with good people and team building skills A high attention to detail and accuracy Follow company policies and procedures Ability to work autonomously and in a team workshop environment A proactive approach to safety, hazards and risk management Why Holcim Our strength is our people - their expertise and skills, their ability to find innovative solutions and their commitment to high performance.
