Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Overview: The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Saltair Modular production facility, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in production practices.
Key Responsibilities: Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and production targets.Team Management: Lead and manage the production team, including procurement manager, logistics manager, and foreman, ensuring that all team members are working effectively and safely.Quality Control: Oversee quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet Saltair's high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.Process Optimisation: Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with WHS standards and company safety protocols.
Address any safety concerns promptly and thoroughly.Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimize production output and efficiency.Reporting: Provide regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, and efficiency metrics, to the Operations Manager.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available for production without causing delays or excess stock.Problem Solving: Address production challenges as they arise, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including design, engineering, and site teams, to ensure seamless project execution.Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in modular construction or manufacturing.Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams.Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in production management software and tools.Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Proactive in identifying and addressing production issues.Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in production processes.Why Join Saltair Modular?
