Production Manager

Our client is seeking a highly proficient and motivated Production Manager to oversee production at our manufacturing facility in Reservoir - managing a skilled team of fitters and turners and boilermakers.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of meat processing equipment for the rendering industry, specializing in the manufacture of pressure vessels, conveyors and related components.

Qualifications and Experience Certificate III in Engineering (Metal Fabrication or Fitter & Turner) (or equivalent)
Medium to heavy engineering/fabrication experience is advantageous
Sound understanding of welding processes and/or fitting and machining
Fabrication/fitting/machining experience
Tasks & responsibilities Forecasting and programming jobs and allocating tasks to individual workers
Reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications
Monitoring job times and optimising efficiency on the factory floor
Ensuring safe work practices are followed
Communicating with the Purchasing Officer, General Manager andEngineering Department.
