Production Line Worker

The Production Line Worker is a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production targets are met in a timely fashion, while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

As a member of the Production Line team, you will perform work in a team-based setting, operating various equipment and/or performing tasks that contribute to the production of high-quality produce. In this role you will work with minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.



Schedule Requirements:

AM: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

PM: Monday to Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Work with a team to manufacture high-quality fresh fruit & vegetable items for the foodservice and retail markets. Learn to use dicers, cutters, slicers, shredders, and packaging equipment. Help ensure that the quality and freshness of produce is always maintained throughout the department. Employees must follow company policy regarding the production of food items and the proper use of equipment. Including
Preparation of all production products including processing mixes, cut sizes and equipment needed. Clean and sanitize production areas between product switch overs and at shift end. Equipment safety. Critical Control Points of bleach and sulphites. Must understand and work within all HACCP policies and procedures. Operate or perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis. Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift. Ability to learn and apply knife skills. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Hepatitis A Vaccination (Islands West will provide). Must have valid work authorization in Canada. As this role is onsite, you must currently reside in Victoria, BC OUR COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES: Wage: $18.81/hour – $0.50 wage increase at 90-day probation.
