We believe that people do amazing things and surround ourselves with people who are as committed as us to providing a safe and highly productive working environment for our employees.Haynes currently have an opportunity for an experienced Production Operator/Labourers to join our valued client based in Townsville.Jobs On Offer:Production Labourer:Key Responsibilities:Properly disposing of waste materials and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.Checking the quality of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.Running and monitoring machinery used in the production of materials.Handling raw materials and finished products, which may involve lifting, moving, and stacking bags or containers.Successful Candidate must hold:Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence + Reliable TransportHold a current Forklift LicencePrior experience within a manual handling & production role - AdvantageousPhysically Fit - able to undertake manual handling.Ability to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.Production Operator:Key Responsibilities:Performing regular maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.Keeping a close watch on the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.Running and monitoring machines used in various stages of steel production, such as furnaces, rolling mills, and casting machines.Inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.Moving semi-finished and finished steel products within the facility using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.Successful Candidate must:Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence + Reliable TransportPhysically Fit - able to undertake manual handling.Prior experience with sheet metal foldingHolds a current forklift licence with proven experiencePrior experience within warehouse rolesAbility to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.Computer knowledge - advantageousMechanically minded - advantageousAt Haynes, we keep things simple: We back the talent of our people and land the jobs that best suit their needs.
