The Role The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day technical processes, to ensure safety, production, cost and environmental objectives are met.
Core Accountabilities Include But Are Not Limited To Work with shift personnel to process changes required to optimise plant performance. Investigate process excursions and implementation/recommendation of corrective actions. Develop, manage and review operating logs, checklists and sign offs to identify operating inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Champion continuous improvement in the production team and deliver performance improvement activities. Recommend and assist in the implementation of capital projects that both enhance and sustain operational efficiencies. What You'll Bring You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture. Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering. Demonstrated understanding of chemical processing plants. Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, petro-chemical or mining environment. Strong computer skills. The Site Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
