As a Production and Assembly team member you will be responsible for general production of cabinetry including machine operation and cabinet building.Responsibilities:Receive panels on conveyor and convert to bench and complete visual check to ensure:good quality (no imperfections, defects, marks, scratches, chips or glue)all correct hardware has been usededge strips are up to standardAttach and secure each panel according to the Task Instruction (drilling/screwing) to assemble the cabinetInspect assembled cabinet to ensure each panel is fitted flush and square with the adjoining panelAttach and/or insert the required shelves, drawers and doors to the assembled cabinetInspect completed cabinet to ensure the correct and appropriate amount of hardware has been usedMove completed cabinet to conveyor carefully to avoid any damageMaintain a clean and tidy work area at all times, following cleaning daily/weekly cleaning schedule as requiredWork efficiently to ensure production is not impacted, in line with the panels per minute detailed on Task Instruction.Switching on and shutting down the machines dailyMachine the first sheet in the process to ensure calibration is correct.
See Standard Operating Procedure for calibration detailsContinue to load and cut sheets to the required scheduleUnload each panel as they have been machined and complete a visual check to ensure:Good quality (no chipping, no marks and combination)Perform machine maintenance, following the weekly schedule and replacing tools as requiredCheck and ensure the level of glue and temperature are correctPreparing and correctly loading the edgestrip into machineCheck to ensure the panel has been labelled correctlyCarefully load panel and run through machine to attached edgestripThe position will report to the Production Manager.Minimum Requirements:At the minimum 3 years relevant experience as a Production Worker in the Cabinetry, Carpentry or Joinery IndustryAt the minimum a Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or similar)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to allocate resources efficiently and manage time so as to achieve objectives.A good understanding of machinery operation, assembly line, production, setting up, fault finding and housekeepingNOTE: This position does not provide any visa opportunities, applicants must have full working rights.If you are interested in this job, please email your resume to ****** Type: Full-timePay: Up to $67,000.00 per yearSchedule:Afternoon shiftWork Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In person
