Reporting to the Senior Product Planner, the Product Planner is responsible to generate insights and intelligence from market information to assist in developing strategic plans across Honda product portfolio. The Product Planner supports a range of product planning activities and lifecycle management as well as contributes to achieve AUH's financial objectives (including pricing management for allocated products).
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity! How you'll make an impact Support the Senior Product Planner by generating market insights and intelligence as well as coordinating external & internal stakeholders in following responsibilities:
Product Strategy Formulation - Formulate Honda Australia's Line up / volume / product strategies based on the insights from various sources of analysis, including:
Industry trend and segment movement -macro & micro perspectiveCompetitor pricing history & positioningCustomer segmentation based on demographics, socioeconomics and buying behaviour.Product Specification Development - Represent Honda Australia in global product development with responsibility to:
Negotiate with key Global/Regional Product Development stakeholders on specs/cost as well as performing profit break down calculations and multiple scenario analysis.Build model and pricing strategies as well as presenting to Honda Australia board members Honda Motors and Asian Honda Motors at key Product Development meetings.Go To Market (GTM) Process- As required, co-ordinate the GTM process for a model launch (YMC,MMC & FMC) with responsibility for:
Developing key model strategy and sharing it with internal & external stakeholders.Coordinating all the GTM milestone events with key internal stakeholders.Managing all product related GTM activities that includes but not limited to market research, spec check, specs for publication, product bulletin, coordination of event cars and review of the promotional materials.Proposal of Limited Edition (specs, volume,pricing,and positioning)Maintain efficient model and colour line-up.Implementation via an effective GTM ProcessWhat you'll bring to Honda Degree in Business, or Marketing or similar relevant experience in a related field.Strong analytical skills with ability to elicit insights from large amount of data.High level of accuracy & attention to detailsGood problem-solving skills with ability to identify core issues and formulate constructive countermeasures.Ability to develop proposals based on the insights with strong logic and deliver to stakeholders effectively.Excellent communication skills for relationship management with internal & external stakeholdersStrong time management skills with an ability to coordinate conflicting priorities.Dedication to deliver high quality output and to adhere to commitment.Some project management experience is preferred.Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is preferred.Experience in Product Planning or Finance is ideal but not mandatory.
