Number of Positions Available:1Start your career with The Salvation Army today!We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values, if you have the passion and drive to commit yourself to a challenging and rewarding role; we invite you to review our current vacancies.ABOUT USThe Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities, helping thousands of Australians every year find hope in the midst of all kinds of personal hardship.The Salvation Army offers the opportunity to use your professional skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of people who need help most.ABOUT THE JOB Salvos Stores have a vacancy for a suitably qualified person for the position of Product Planner (12 months Max-term) located at the Mount Waverley Salvos Stores Support Office, reporting directly to the Product Manager.Roles & Responsibilities:Your role as the Product Planner will include but not be limited to;Develop and maintain new reports and processes for new and donated product data, planning and allocation and monitor under-performing item lines and make recommendations to Product Manager in relation to markdowns or stock movementReview sales and stock against the Buying Plan on a regular basis to ensure it meets customer needs, reflect current trends and planned stock levels by storeReplenish orders in line with Buying Plan and coordinate promotional and core product store allocationsMonitor Open to Buy (OTB) expenditure and Gross Margin percentage and communicate risks and opportunities to Product ManagerReview current planning and reporting processes and recommend and develop enhancement and initiatives to optimize inventory performanceMonitor and update store production targets in line with production and space planning strategy and work with Product Manager and retail operations to monitor donation sourcing, production volumes and rate, optimum seasonal stock holdings, stock transfers and export sales.Build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and vendors, both internal and externalPrepare and distribute reports including sales and optimum stock levels based on supply and demand analysis.Managing the impact of stock variances through ongoing governance of the Stock take process.Overseeing ancillary business activities including (but not limited to) systems development, developing merchandising principles for stores, purchasing PPE for team members & purchasing pricing labels for stores.A full Position Description is available on request.ABOUT YOUAs the successful applicant you will have the following attributes;Bachelor's degree in business or another related degreeMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar roleAdvanced Microsoft skillsFinancial management skills or experience with Financial One softwareHighly analytical and able to interpret and develop insights and recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.HOW TO APPLY If you're excited by this unique opportunity, the above sounds like you, and you have a heart for working for an organisation that truly does transform lives, we would love to speak to you.We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values.If you have the passion and drive to commit yourself to a challenging and rewarding role; we invite you to apply via the link and submit a current CV and a cover letter which details your alignment with the essential requirements of the role.Applications will close?as soon as a suitable candidate is secured.
