Role Summary

This role is responsible for helping execute the strategy of the Asset Servicing organization with a general focus on the Asia Pacific market.
As the Product Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating Product Management activities in partnership with the APAC and Global Product Management leads such as helping define the target client segment market and evaluating industry trends and uncovering opportunities, perform launches and post launch assessments/ recommendations as they relate to the Australian business.
You will also be responsible for performing regular maintenance of product materials, maintaining product inventory and key metrics, support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis and provide sales support through client/ prospect pitches and RFP response and review.

What you will do

GeneralSupport both the regionalization of global products into APAC as well as the creation of products to exclusively benefit the APAC market.Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitorsAssist in new product planning activities by deriving forecasts, composing product requirements and establishing future metricsDisplay a balanced, cross- functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivitySupport new product introduction by creating the risk analysisTrack customer satisfaction, evaluate metrics and KPIs, gauge channel performance, conduct post product launch auditsProvide sales support through RFP response and reviewMonitor capital and expenses and rate card alignment across regionsCarries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impactUnderstand the unique nature of our business and be opportunistic in the marketAct resourcefully and creatively to ensure new products get to market quicklyCommunicate the features and functions of products to internal and external stakeholdersTake responsibility for improving product qualityProactively identify revenue opportunities and develop products that make an impact on our businessCoordinate product risk review as part of the new product development and expansions processesMonitor changes in the regulatory environment and take the necessary steps to ensure complianceProactively identify all areas of risk including financial, reputation, regulatory and financial and make recommendations to minimize theseStrategicAssist in defining the regional strategy for products and guide the selection of development projectsDefine target markets, customers, competitive strengths, and competition strategy (e.g., competing head-on or find a market niche)Position products relative to the competitive environment and identify what will differentiate or distinguish these products in the marketplaceConduct feasibility analysis for new product development and obtain management approval.Leads the development of strategic business cases that tie market research to company visionCultivate and manage relationships with strategic clients, prospects and third partiesAbout YouUnderstanding or knowledge of 2-3 Northern Trust products or business areas within a product domain, detailed knowledge of 1+ product and an understanding of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap.Good in building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners and leaders across multiple disciplines.Organizational skills are required to support the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.Program or project management experience is advantageous, planning, analysis, design and governance.Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment.Working with Us:
