Product Owner (Senior Manager)– Cards Modernisation (API & Integration Stream) The role In this role you will be the Product owner for the Cards Modernisation program to lead a team of Technology to design and implement the future state of Cards integration.
The Cards Modernisation Program is a multiyear initiative that looks to build a group wide capability leveraging cloud, rationalizing multiple Card platforms into a new modern system, enabling personalisation, resilience and productivity.

Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers.
Within RBS, the Consumer Finance Team is responsible for end-to-end P&L management, product design, credit risk, acquisition & portfolio management and customer experience for Credit Cards and Personal Loans.
API Modernisation stream within Consumer Finance responsible to deliver modern technology integration for cards.
Your impact and contribution As a Product Owner within the API and Integration Modernisation Stream in Cards Modernisation program , you will be responsible for developing and delivering on the technology roadmap for Cards future state integration with digital channels and back-end platform using brand new service API's .
This is an opportunity to modernise technology platform for Cards and support modern integration.
You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, QA and Technical BA's to achieve this, while creating a safe, inclusive, accountable, and high-performance culture, and working collaboratively within and across Crews.
Your Responsibilities Understand the strategic roadmap of Cards Modernisation and translation of product vision to roadmap and backlog.
Lead the Squad day-to-day to deliver change and lifecycle activities and define and prioritize backlog within the Squad.
Work collaboratively with technology stakeholders within and across Retail Technology Crews to ensure solutions are developed and deployed in a way aligned with the Group's Technology strategy and enterprise architecture.
Release and iterate on a product that meets customer needs and achieves business goals.
Define feature requirements, customer experience, and outcomes.
Drive operations performance, resilience and tech simplification Communicate project status, blockers, dependencies, issue and risks across a variety of stakeholders, forums and committees.
Identifies, articulate and manages risks and compliance across streams of work.
Collaboratively works with others to break down complex problems.
Manage interface with stakeholders, processes and infrastructure outside the Squad and Cards Crew Empower team to manage their work appropriately, respond to queries, address impediments and problem solve technical issues.
Lead all agile ceremonies for your squad, build a high performing team, support squad members to meet sprint goals and groom and prioritise the squad backlog effectively.
Your Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience working as a Product Owner Cards product knowledge Sound knowledge of engineering practices with experience of API integration Demonstrable experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams, stakeholders, review boards and committees to deliver technology outcomes.
Multi-faceted technology vision with ability to breakdown complex technology deliverables into tangible goals.
Cloud Experience on AWS Sound knowledge of system designing and architecture.
Strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrated capability for constructive challenge, including process improvement and challenging the status quo.
Strong communication skills, with ability to break down and summarise complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language.
Experience leading cross-functional teams with agile ceremonies.
