Tennis Australia is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the successful implementation and migration to our new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, while managing the decommissioning of legacy Tennis platforms such as tennis.com.au.
This pivotal role will drive the transition to a more efficient, streamlined digital ecosystem that supports Tennis Australia's operational and user needs.

About the role Reporting to the Senior Digital Product Manager – Unified Experience, the Product Owner.
This role includes setting up the enterprise Digital Asset Management system (Adobe Experience Manager - AEM Assets), migrating assets from the current Tennis WordPress sites, identifying and implementing workflows for asset management across Tennis Australia, and overseeing the decommissioning of legacy systems.
In this role, you will: Lead the DAM Implementation: Oversee the rollout of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets, ensuring all assets are effectively migrated from current WordPress platforms, with smooth integration into the new system.
Manage Assets & Workflows: Audit, prioritise, and manage assets for migration, archiving, or retirement, ensuring alignment with business and user requirements.
Implement workflows, taxonomy, metadata, and functionality for improved asset sharing and reuse across Tennis Australia .
Drive Migration Strategy: Lead the migration efforts, ensuring the successful transfer of digital assets from WordPress to AEM, maintaining quality and consistency throughout the process.
Decommission Legacy Systems: Develop and execute a detailed decommissioning strategy for the tennis.com.au platform, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption, avoiding data loss and content inconsistencies .
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with teams across Communications, Creative Studio, Marketing, IT, and third-party vendors to align the DAM and decommissioning efforts with Tennis Australia's goals and operational requirements.
About you You have extensive experience leading product development, especially in Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, and a proven track record of delivering Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and managing product roadmaps.
You have a profound understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and WordPress, with hands-on experience in migrating assets, refining metadata schemas, and defining taxonomy structures.
Additionally, you have a solid background in overseeing migrations and defining information architecture frameworks that support efficient asset management, search, and reusability.
You are skilled at facilitating training and guiding teams through change management processes to ensure successful system adoption.
What you will bring to the role: Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in product management or ownership within an agile environment (experience with Scrum or SAFe is highly desirable).
Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-discipline teams on complex digital projects.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management platforms, such as AEM and AEM Assets.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence for Digital Experience outcomes Experience in producing product requirements documentation (PRD), user stories, technical documentation, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong facilitation skills, able to confidently conduct workshops with various stakeholders, including executives.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrated resilience and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a challenging and changing environment.
Willingness to be flexible with working hours, particularly during peak periods and events.
Strong ability to prioritize workloads, plan work programs, and meet deadlines.
Capable of distilling and communicating complex messages in an accessible manner.
You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check .
