Product Manager

Product Manager
Company:

Safewill

Details of the offer

Our Story At Safewill, we're reshaping end-of-life planning in Australia, making it more affordable, personal, and accessible for all.
Since our launch, we've grown rapidly and are now one of the country's fastest-growing tech companies.
We're backed by leading investors like Westpac's Reinventure Fund, Carthona Capital, and Flying Fox Ventures, and we're scaling fast.
But let's be real—working at a startup is challenging.
There's no playbook, and you'll be building from scratch most of the time.
We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating impactful products that solve real customer problems.
This is your opportunity to shape a product that truly makes a difference, working cross-functionally to drive the success of our growing tech company.
Your Story with Us
As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in leading the development and execution of Safewill's product strategy, working closely with the Head of Product, Chief Technology Officer and other senior team members.
You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, turning ideas into reality by deeply understanding customer needs, analysing data, and running experiments.
You'll be both a facilitator and decision-maker, guiding teams through the product lifecycle while managing risk and ensuring the product aligns with the company's overall goals.
In the first 3-6 months, you will acquire domain expertise and get comfortable with our ways of working, with a focus on:
Understand customer problems and contexts through deep research and feedback gathering. Facilitate idea generation from stakeholders, refining concepts and turning them into experiments, and scaling those for delivery. Balance feasibility and reward by identifying opportunities that drive customer value while considering technical limitations. Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation and development through to delivery, ensuring quality, speed, and customer satisfaction. Lead cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and customer success, ensuring seamless collaboration to deliver results. From 3 months onwards, you'll contribute to all aspects of product and team operations, including:
Collaborate with the product leadership team to develop and execute a product strategy that aligns with business goals. Conduct market research to deeply understand customer pain points, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. Create a product roadmap that outlines development priorities, timelines, and key milestones. Facilitate the development of product requirements, manage scope, and ensure effective product delivery. Prioritise features by balancing customer value and technical feasibility, working with engineering to deliver on time. Run experiments to validate ideas, using both data and customer feedback to iterate quickly. Conduct UAT and testing to ensure that the product meets the desired quality standards and customer expectations. Work closely with the marketing, engineering, and operations teams to develop a Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy that ensures smooth product launches and risk management. Align product development with marketing data, channels, and operations, ensuring the entire customer experience is optimised. Engage regularly with stakeholders to gather insights, facilitate ideas, and refine experiments based on real-time feedback. Identify potential risks early in the product development cycle and mitigate them through data-driven experiments. Automate and streamline operational processes where possible to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Why Join Safewill? If you're looking for easy, this isn't it.
Startups are challenging, especially when you're breaking new ground in an emerging space.
But if you thrive on solving complex problems, driving change, and building something from scratch, this role is the perfect next step in your career.
Here's why Safewill is right for you:
You want professional growth. You are eager to develop your skills, being coached and learning from peers.
Likewise you are happy to share your knowledge to help others grow. You're not afraid to take risks.
You experiment, fail fast, and learn quickly, all while managing the fallout and improving the customer experience. Details matter to you.
You keep your eye on the small stuff and avoid letting things slip through the cracks.
But if it does, you'll step up to own it, fix it, and learn from it. You know how to balance speed and quality.
You're great at pushing for fast delivery without sacrificing rigour. You love tackling complex customer problems and translating them into innovative product solutions.
You advocate for the customer experience beyond what's measurable, ensuring all our work increases value while reducing friction. You are data-informed and research-informed when making decisions, with a healthy dash of vision and ambition.
When aligning stakeholders, you tell compelling stories from the data to bring them along for the ride and invest for the outcomes you are championing. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you can take ownership, manage risk, and deliver results that directly impact company growth. You work smart.
You enjoy partnering with high performers like yourself, challenging each other to work better and achieve more. You're always watching the horizon.
You're constantly tracking emerging trends to make sure the product stays ahead of the curve. Wondering if you should apply? If you thrive on solving complex problems, love building products to reach new audiences, and enjoy working in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment, we want to hear from you!
This role is for someone who enjoys thinking creatively with an eye on business impact, isn't afraid to tackle problems that have never been solved before, and improve the lives of millions of people.
