Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing.
They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
Job ResponsibilitiesProduct Manager for TE Overhead Solutions products including Underground + Overhead Connectors & Fittings, Solar Connectors, and LV/MV Insulators and Arresters (supporting function).Lead Overhead Solutions Portfolio growth plan in ANZ region.Responsibilities include:Perform market/customer segmentation and competitor landscape analysis to devise a winning market strategy for assigned product lines.Drive product specification, applications, sales support, reporting and marketing activities for responsible product line.Gather product specification product attribute information for new product development initiatives.Train internal and external customers on product offering and applications via presentations in customer meetings.Pricing analysis in preparation of new product launch, price changes, response to special pricing requests.Collaborate in assuring products meet applicable standards with cross-functional collaboration.Take ownership in the creation of new part numbers.Issuing product change notices and material change orders.Manage the development and implementation of product testing, inventory management, product rationalization, cost reduction, marketing, and advertising projects.Lead market intelligence activities such as gathering market commercial and technical information to justify product line additions or re-positioning, i.e.
cable ranges, materials, installation time, application details, price, etc.Develop specification and sales support materials including but not limited to installation instructions, brochures, catalogues, data sheets, cross references, etc.Gather product-related customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.Maintain industry, technical, application knowledge and other skills to increase personal effectiveness.Willingness to travel domestic and/or international – customer visits, association presentations, field training when required, etc.Support in analyzing product performance returns for evaluation with engineering, generate written customer reports, and properly communicate findings to global product management.Support with coordinating prototypes for testing with engineering and provide technical assistance to design feasibility and make recommendations for necessary changes.Reporting tasks:Responsible for keeping HRPM informed of the progress, status and direction of assigned product lines.Support in driving monthly call with sales for Reporting progress: scorecards, project pipeline, backlog.Attend the following monthly review and reporting processes (sometimes out of office hours):Scorecard reporting (monthly).Revenue, (booking, billing & backlog).Standard margin.Pricing, volume, mix, erosion.SFDC funnel, (as prescribed).TEBIT tracking and ideation.
