The team operates within a broader digital directorate, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovative solutions for customers.About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced Product Owner who will work closely with program-level leadership, product owners, and lead architects to enhance the digital product. Key responsibilities include:Leading discovery efforts and managing a backlog of development-ready user stories that align with the product roadmap, driving projects from concept to outcome with minimal oversight.Maximising productivity among business analysts, designers, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-value outputs within set timeframes.Quality-assuring user stories for accuracy and completeness, including conducting thorough testing during development.Translating customer needs into clear requirements, informed by research, feasibility, accessibility, security, and customer value.Collaborating with a diverse team of specialists to continuously refine and improve the product, fostering a customer-focused, improvement-driven culture.Providing team leadership and supporting overall project goals, reporting directly to the Principal Product Owner.About YouSuccess in this role requires:Prior Government experience as a Product owner is highly desirableCreative, outside-the-box thinking to drive a customer-centric, value-driven digital productA proven record of managing multi-tiered digital products within Agile frameworks in complex environments.Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to be self-driven in a fast-paced setting.Experience delivering product features from concept to launch, engaging with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Strong design thinking, service design, and innovative approach.Skill in balancing regulatory requirements with user-centred design for accessibility.Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to a wide range of audiences.Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience under pressure, ensuring goals are achieved within budget and deadlines.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
