About the Industrialisation Engineer role We are seeking an Industrialisation Engineer to work on multiple projects with direct responsibility for design and prototyping of manufacturing fixtures, processes, and tools. The ideal candidate will be highly innovative, with experience with CAD and fabrication methods (3D printing, machining, laser cutting, etc), and is comfortable with hands-on work. Familiarity in writing code to interface/control instruments will be useful.
Role responsibilities Design, build, and validate prototypes, fixtures, and tooling; Meet design requirements via an iterative process, collaborating with cross-functional teams; Direct involvement with prototyping product designs, manufacturing process development and assembly; Work with Hysata partners to define, develop, and validate manufacturing processes and tools; Define and execute validation plans in collaboration with the rest of the Hysata team; Be involved in data reviews to enable data-driven learning; Develop SOPs and safety protocols for new tools and processes. What you'll bring Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or similar field; 5+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing design; Experience in using computer-aided design (Siemens NX preferred); Contributed to delivering complex projects requiring new process technology and new equipment development, including process and equipment specification; Fabrication experience is a must – hands-on R&D, design, build, test; Experience with introduction of new processes and optimising in a manufacturing scale-up environment with best practice methods; Contributed to product design and development through DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), DFMEA, validation testing, materials selection, process technology selection; Skills in applying advanced manufacturing, automation, and digital technology to new/improved manufacturing solutions; Possess the ability to be a clear and open communicator; Motivated, capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment; Expertise beyond your field of qualification/degree – spanning mechanical, design, electrical and controls, robotics, materials science and technology; Experience with managing relationships with technology partners and vendors through R&D, design, built, test, commissioning and operational support; Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; Experience with electrolysers, battery or energy storage systems a plus. About the Product Manager role We are looking for a Product Manager to help define Hysata's product roadmap, using customer requirements to guide product development. This role offers the opportunity to be an early team member in a fast growth company at the forefront of the green hydrogen industry. The role reports to the Chief Product Officer. Role responsibilities Deeply understand customer requirements across different end use sectors and geographies, including hydrogen specifications, electrolyser performance requirements, installation, commissioning and servicing, input power profiles, and relevant standards and certification; Work with customers to understand how our product will be deployed and used in their projects, in order to optimise Hysata's system; Monitor competitors' systems, and apply insights to Hysata's product where relevant; Collaborate with the techno-economic modelling team to understand the economic impact of different design options (e.g. on LCOH); Work closely with the relevant teams (Commercial, R&D, Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing) to steer development of the product in a way that best meets customers' needs and Hysata's objectives (e.g. profitability, scalability); Develop product specifications to inform the technical development of Hysata's electrolyser; Define a product and services roadmap and coordinate and optimise product releases; Map out the pathway to commercialisation of Hysata's products, including understanding bankability requirements, certification, testing requirement etc.; Coordinate development of materials e.g. renderings to communicate Hysata's product vision and roadmap to staff, customers, investors and other stakeholders; Develop the product messaging and associated customer facing materials (e.g. spec sheets) and internal materials (e.g. sales training materials); Answer customers' technical and commercial questions e.g. completing RFIs. To be successful you will ideally have Product management experience in electrolysers or a similar technology e.g. fuel cells, wind turbines; Background in clean tech and/or energy sector (preferred); Background in physical sciences (e.g. chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics); Broad knowledge across key disciplines and areas e.g. electrochemistry, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, finance, customer end use sectors; Excellent communication skills – speaking with customers and the Hysata team, and developing compelling materials (e.g., printed materials, web content, slides) to communicate the product vision, specifications and benefits; Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure a problem and use data and analysis to make a recommendation.
