The division employs more than 3600 team members.   About the role:    The Product Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the Merchandise Team, overseeing the Private Label business and driving the introduction of new products. Collaborating closely with the Category Teams, the Specialist: Assist Product Development Manager to develop NPD pipelines and product strategies within Health categories, such as but not limited to OTC medicines, complementary medicines, medical devices and personal care. Responsible for product development from concept through to on-shelf of Private Label Health product ranges and line extensions within our retail and wholesale portfolios, project managing the development and timelines. Support Product Development Manager with more complex projects. Research and present innovations and market insights. Identify product, range and brand gaps within the Private Label portfolio and present opportunities to the wider Private Label and Category teams. Report weekly on Private Label business performance within your categories, influence ongoing plans, and ensure competitive advantage over national brands to drive profitability, to really own Private Label in your category. Supporting the Product Development Manager with strategic sourcing from key supply partners, effectively managing relationships to drive development plans, improve quality, optimise profitability and reduce risk.  What you'll bring:   1-3 years' experience in Product Development, Category Management, or R&D ideally within the OTC medicines and/ or complementary medicines, medical devices. Experience in product development processes, having worked closely with inventory teams, including demand planning & forecasting. Knowledge TGA regulations is essential. Excellent time and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver exceptional work within required timeframes. Project management experience, to drive development projects efficiently and document and communicate key deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Sound analytical skills to analyse data and communicate insights to address/support performance. Passionate about health & wellness categories, staying up to date with industry trends. Perseverance and resilience to manage setbacks, communicate clearly and effectively with all levels and work within a fast-paced environment. Flexible, positive outlook towards change, ability to self-manage, and proficient in Microsoft suite and common systems. Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field.
