The Role Reporting to the Managing Director, a new role has been created, Product Development Manager – Seed Treatment.
The role will provide support for both the Production and Sales divisions and drive business development utilising various innovative seed treatment products.
The focus is on expanding and promoting i.e.
bringing in new business and developing new products.
This requires the ability to problem solve, use initiative and take a hands-on active approach to management.
You will be responsible for:
Providing oversight and management of seed treatment and value add activitiesDriving new business and developing new productsWorking closely with key sales and production / operations staff to identify market opportunitiesTechnical, budgeting, planning and customer serviceOversee quarantine and other disease management protocolsEngaging farmers and Field visits to assess trials and evaluate opportunitiesThe Person To be successful in this hands-on role you will have:
Business experienceTertiary science education and willingness to learnAgricultural product development experienceImportantly seed treatment experience is not essential for this role, as you will be trained on the job.
More important is the desire to work with seed, with capacity to understand and learn the processes.
