This role is a key member of the Ecosystem Solution Delivery team and aims to increase the performance of our products in the market via superior customer and banker experience, as well as is responsible for the implementation and embedment of requirements relating to the CPS230 Operational Risk Management Program.
The role works in partnership with their Product Management team to define "how" we deliver Cash and Transactional banking products through product delivery processes, as well as works with the enterprise CPS230 Program to drive changes in response to CPS230 requirements. Team members are technical product experts and owners for one or multiple products, responsible for transforming, adapting, and maintaining Cash and Transactional Banking Merchant products, while strengthening the businesses Operational Resilience under CPS230.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting product related enquiries and implementing technical product process enhancements.Know your customers in your target industry/segment better than anyone else in the marketplace.Ensure timely delivery of products and services.Effectively handle, escalate and follow-up technical product queries, issues, and complaints, using judgement to resolve customer concerns on the spot.Support the commercialisation of products by ensuring that technical merits of the solutions are understood by key stakeholders.Providing Technical input into developing Customer product strategies enabling Merchant Growth targets.Design and create processes for the ongoing maintenance of the Village CDEs.Manage control gaps or weaknesses relating to Village CDEs.Uplift Village Business Continuity Plans (BCP) based on CPS230 requirements.Be the expert in understanding emerging trends and competitor's product delivery advantages to support your role in delivering competitive advantage to Westpac.Defining the optimal process change and then lead the implementation as required to maintain regulatory compliance.Responsible for ensuring any compliance to contract arrangements which are an integral part of the product delivery construct (e.g., payment product schemes, WIB support), including leading and implementing change where required to maintain compliance.What's in it for me? What do I need? Business acumen to understand the payments industry and help the organization develop new products/services.Experience in Merchant Acquiring Payments and/or product management-related roles in the financial services industry.Demonstrated experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and developing business strategies & business cases.Experience with operational and/or data risk management. Business continuity experience would be highly regarded.Knowledge of regulatory environment and translating regulatory requirements into business processes.Proven skills in organising, project management, effective problem solving and decision-making.Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional team decisions.Understand the economics of the P&L for the Merchant Acquiring Business.Strong analytical skills, SQL/advanced reporting, and experience in data analysis.What is it like to work there?
