In this role, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working end-to-end across all phases of design, from discovery through to execution.We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented designer with a passion for experimentation and innovation. You will leverage your research and design expertise to deeply understand user needs, communicate and prototype design solutions at various fidelities, and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineers to shape solutions that delight users and deliver business value.This role reports to the Head of Design.Job DescriptionWhat you'll do:Design and deliver product experiences that not only meet the needs of our customers and internal users but also align with and drive business objectives.Balance customer experience, business impact, speed, and quality in your design approach.Leverage research findings, data insights, and user feedback to create actionable design solutions and experiments that enhance both user experience and business outcomes.Rapidly iterate on multiple design concepts and prototypes, knowing when to focus on high-fidelity details and when to utilise low-fidelity sketches or prototypes.Effectively communicate your conceptual ideas, design rationale, and decisions to stakeholders and team members.Facilitate co-design workshops with cross-functional teams to encourage collaborative problem-solving and innovation.Communicate user goals, tasks, needs, behaviours, and opportunities using visual artifacts such as service design maps, customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and more.Collaborate closely with product managers, fellow designers, engineers, business analysts and stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure the delivery of successful product experiences.Actively participate in design critiques, both giving and receiving feedback, to elevate the quality of design work within the team.QualificationsA portfolio showcasing your design work, including case studies that detail your process, challenges, and impact.Proficient in information architecture, user flows, task flows, customer journeys, usability heuristics, accessibility standards, UX writing, wireframing, prototyping, and iterating on designs at various fidelities.Have a good understanding of Human Psychology, familiar with cognitive and behavioural psychology principles as they relate to user interaction with digital products.Demonstrates a deep understanding of responsive design principles, UI patterns, and constraints across multiple device types, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.Consistently accounts for the entire user experience, including edge cases and various interaction states (e.g., errors, successes, dead-ends).Skilled in layout, typography, colour theory, grid systems, iconography, brand expression, imagery, visual hierarchy, and Gestalt principles.Experience working with and contributing to design systems and adhering to design principles.Ability to articulate design decisions, present work effectively, and engage in meaningful discussions with stakeholders.Advanced knowledge of Figma and its collaborative features.Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver iterative solutions.Experience in financial services or a similar industry, or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new domains.Additional InformationWe're Flex First – We've embraced a hybrid, flexible working model that adapts to team members needs and lifestyles.We offer extended Paid Parental Leave: we celebrate our growing Lendi Group family with up to 26 weeks leave for primary carers and up to 4 weeks for secondary carers.An additional week's Loyalty Leave each year after reaching 3 years' service.We are a people-first company that invests in initiatives to promote a healthy work environment, such as offering an Employee Assistance Program and social groups such as our industry-leading Women in Technology group.Employee health and wellbeing are paramount at Lendi Group.
