As our Product Designer, you will be our in-house expert to design, develop and provide engineering services for the Marketing & Technology products.

What's the Role:You will ensure the provision of specialized engineering solutions and bring quality products to market quickly aligned with the business strategy and customer needs. This role will be based in the Mineral Processing division focusing on the development of Fixed Plant Products; specifically chutes and mills.
You will be a hands-on and solution-focused engineer who will perform solid modeling, detailed drafting, analysis/simulation, site-based reverse engineering, and other technical requirements for product offerings for Bradken and continually contribute to better output that meets customer expectations.
You will have a naturally collaborative style of working and will build customer and stakeholder relationships that facilitate their involvement in the testing and validation of new products, solutions, and services to provide Bradken with a market advantage.
Always seeking opportunities for improvement, you will design, develop and customize products and service offerings that are fit for purpose for our customers and provide the highest standard of technical support on an ongoing basis.
You are a problem solver who will assist with product failure investigations and provide feedback and opportunities for improvement of products in line with internal standards.
As a data-driven and detail-oriented engineer, you will conduct analyses using hand calculations, FEA, and DEM and also ensure all appropriate checks are in place for models, drawings, analysis/simulation, and other technical requirements are compliant with standards and capture (documentation) of engineering requirements accurately.
Key Technical Criteria:Tertiary degree in mechanical engineering or similar stream. (Diploma of mechanical engineering may be considered).Experience in the use of Ansys FEA and Rocky DEM software.Proficiency in the use of CAD (Unigraphics NX or similar package) including 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Teamcenter PLM experience would be well regarded.Experience developing new products to meet customer needs is required (fixed Plant, mills and crushers).Knowledge of mineral processing, material handling equipment and processes would be well regarded.The role is based in Burswood or Adelaide.
