The Role: This is a full-time 1FTE opportunity.
For the correct candidate, there may be flexibility for part-time arrangements.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical support across a range of creative and innovative disciplines, including wood, metal, textiles, and emerging technologies like laser cutting and 3D printing.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting both teachers and students in our workshops and studios, as well as supporting the Art and Design Learning Area.

The Average Day: Provide technical assistance to students regarding materials, techniques and art/design processes across various workshops Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OH&S regulations and ensuring compliance through OH&S datasheets Conduct regular safety audits Set up and maintain equipment, tools and apparatus used in workshops Source and purchase materials within budget Responsible waste management Provide support for student exhibitions and showcases Ad hoc administrative duties The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Previous experience in a technical support role within a design or educational setting is desirable Knowledge and understanding of the safe operation of workshop machinery including sewing machines, overlockers, CAD/CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printing technology Knowledge and understanding of OH&S regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional time-management and problem-solving abilities A valid Employee Working with Children's Check is a requirement of employment in this position.
