About the role
The Product Compliance Manager is to support the Senior Manager Products & Propositions by leading the product compliance function to implement, maintain, and monitor product compliance across the organisation. This role will be an advisor to the business on product terms, conditions, processes and documentation and provide input into the development of process and policy in relation to our product suite.
Working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:
Represent the Products team on strategic projects including reviewing contracts and test scenarios and ensuring adherence to product terms. Manage implementation of regulatory change for the organisations products and associated processes, ensuring compliance across process, policy and systems. Review published material, including marketing and retail collateral as required for product compliance. Developing and maintaining product documentation and product compliance management systems, including the review cycle. Responsible for the version control, record keeping, creation and amendments for all product documentation. Manage and/or represent Products on remediation programs and audits, addressing actions to the timeframes required. Build effective internal and external business relationships to ensure operational product compliance and cooperation to execute required projects and any change. Lead and manage the member statement process, including ownership of material provider contract. Review product exceptions and respond to in timely manner considering risk, compliance and member outcomes. Represent Products on the Operational Risk Committee, preparing reports as required. Report all risk incidents and potential events/breaches and manage corrective action where applicable. Monitor DDO compliance metrics e.g. product related complaints, cancellations and switches, investigate and resolve potential issues, provide insights and prepare management reporting. What will you bring?
Experience with document management, including implementing change, review cycles version control and process mapping. Project management experience, executing process or policy change and managing cross functional stakeholders. Previous experience undertaking Business Analysis functions including gap analysis, and requirements gathering to understand solutions required. Experience in managing product compliance in the context of regulatory requirements and associated impacts on terms, policy and processes with the ability to apply knowledge of regulatory requirements related to product compliance in a practical manner. Awareness of applicable legislation and codes affecting financial products. At least five years' experience in the financial services industry in a Products or Compliance role. Ability to translate technical terms into clear, business processes to deliver effective change across a variety of audiences. Proactive approach with strong stakeholder management skills including influencing and communication skills; ability to negotiate with key stakeholders, presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to interrogate data to find potential issues and provide solutions / recommendations. Ability to analyse large amounts of data to inform decision making. Ability to be pragmatic and solve problems with a stakeholder/customer experience focus. Strong risk management practices, from identification to resolution and ongoing control framework. Degree qualification in business / related field or equivalent desirable. Certifications or training in Change Frameworks (e.g. PROSCI), Process Improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), Business Analysis (e.g. BABOK) desirable. What we can offer you
