Randwick City Council Administration Building, 30 Frances Street, Randwick, New South Wales, Australia Req #497 Wednesday, 8 January 2025 Closing date: 11:59pm AEST Wednesday 22 January 2025 Status: Full-time, Nominal Term of 24 months Salary: Trainee - $68,832.27 per annum + 11.5 % superannuation Join our team and contribute to serving the Randwick community while gaining valuable professional experience.
This traineeship provides: Hands-on training Working alongside experienced professionals Building skills in teamwork, customer service, and operational and/or technical support while getting paid Gaining practical expertise and insights for a successful future in their chosen field Purpose: To be eligible for this traineeship you must be willing and committed to participating and completing a Certificate IV and/or a Diploma in Procurement and Contracting.
You do not need to be currently enrolled in the course.
This process will be facilitated with the assistance of Council, should you be the successful candidate.
About the role: Undertake ongoing development and training (both formal and "on the job") designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to various procurement processes.
Obtain a thorough understanding of the functions of purchasing and tendering across the organisation, in accordance with policy, procedures and applicable Local Government regulations.
Undertake tasks to provide support and assistance in the day-to-day operations of purchasing and supply chain management at Council.
About you: Committed to undertaking a tertiary degree, certificate or diploma course in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management.
Experienced in using Microsoft Office desktop applications, including a sound working knowledge of Word and Excel advanced functionality.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
