Procurement Specialist

ABOUT THE COMPANY.Local Government office based in Sydney's West seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team on a temporary contract. You'll become part of a collaborative team environment and work with a management team that is passionate about the progression of all employees.
ABOUT THE ROLE.ASAP start, 6-month full-time contract. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you'll be working alongside five other staff members, each specialising in their own sectors.
DUTIES. Assist in the development of RFTs, RFQs and EOIs.Review contracts for the engagement of suppliers.Recommend improvements for current processes or customer service.Manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and tendering guidelines.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Relevant tertiary qualifications, Diploma of Government Procurement and Contracting.Proven experience in the management of Tendering, RFQs, EOIs and Selective Tendering within the Public Sector.High level of autonomy and advanced problem solving skills.Prior Local Government experience preferable.CULTURE.This role will see you working in a close-knit collaborative team, and will provide opportunities for stability and long-term career progression.
