This role will promote cost and business improvement efficiency through the delivery of supply chain streamlining, risk mitigation, vendor management and cost control.
The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset in making sound strategic decisions on the investment of time and money to maximise return on investment for Kelsian.
Please note, this is not a process support role.
In this role, it is expected the candidate will be able to work autonomously and be able to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for cost optimisation, process improvement and increasing supply chain efficiency, As a Procurement Specialist/Analyst , you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include: Provide leadership to manage procurement processes to achieve the desired outcomes at best overall cost.
Identify opportunities for improvement and to co-ordinate stakeholders to ensure that the needs of the users are identified and explored.
Promote cost improvement through implementing changes in specification, risk variety, volume, supplier base, sustainability, price, total cost etc.
Actively manage vendors to ensure acceptable contractual compliance and service levels are adhered to and intervene in the event of non-performance.
Explore opportunities to deploy innovative solutions, concepts and/or products that may add value to Kelsian.
Continuous analysis of Kelsian's supply chain to support forward looking objectives and enhance data visibility.
Lead the implementation of various procurement related software initiatives.
Provide project management leadership and support for projects and manage resources to achieve agreed objectives in a timely manner and within budget.
Prepare reports and status updates for senior management including the preparation of papers, reports, and associated communications.
Negotiate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to maximise Kelsian's position and the achievement of the required outcomes, and at the same time minimising risk and exposure.
Monitor and report performance metrics to measure operational performance and determine short and longer-term actions to deliver the objectives of the procurement service.
Ensure the strategic development, coordination, and positive management of relationships between Kelsian and its suppliers.
Support relevant frameworks to ensure compliance and risk management requirements with respect to strategic procurement are in place.

Strong data analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerBI (or similar).

Must maintain confidentiality.
Ability to exercise sound judgement in dealing with sensitive, confidential and/or political matters.
Ability to create an inclusive environment where team members have input into discussions.
Experience in taking a lead role in procurement projects and project management whilst managing projects simultaneously.
Ability to build contingencies to reduce financial risk to Kelsian.
Experience at managing change in a complex and large organisation.
Experience in stakeholder management within a complex organisation.
Demonstrated analytical/commercial experience and ability to draw conclusions from data.
A proactive 'can do' approach to shifting priorities and resolving issues.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in areas such as supply chain management, business analytics, finance and commerce etc.
and/or extensive relevant experience.
Some out of hour's work may be required.
There will be a requirement for some inter and intrastate travel.
