In the role, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of procurement of goods and services to support the sustainment of Australian Navy Ships. Purchases include, but are not limited to, equipment, materials, supplies, goods, and services. The Procurement Officer conducts the end-to-end procurement process in SAP and Webview.In this role, you will:Conduct procurement in accordance with the Navantia corporate processes and Defence requirements.Issuance of RFQ, RFT, carry out commercial evaluation, vendor selection, raising of purchase order and any variations.Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure compliance of materials and services prior to procurement.Monitor and maintain compliance of delivery dates from the suppliers.Manage delivery of all items ensuring completeness of technical and non-technical documentation such as Certificate of Conformance, Shipping Documents, etc.Inform and manage any obsolescence items raised by any supplier.Manage supply contracts and provide detailed reporting.Liaise with the suppliers for reporting and performance assessment.Monitor and manage all assigned Solpeds ensuring timely conversion to purchase order.Run SAP exception reporting on overdue orders, unassigned orders and unactioned Solped.Identify and process applications for on-boarding suppliers and customers ensuring completion of all required documents.Assist with other supply related surge activities.Warranty and claim management.Align everyday procurement activities with management policy to ensure that we deliver value through output focus, we align capabilities to meet customer expectations.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.As the ideal candidate, you will have:At least five years experience in a procurement position.SAP knowledge in procurement transactions.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Knowledge in the use of NATO portal and Defence Web View.Excellent task management skills and strong interpersonal skills.Experience in project and contract management.Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and client.Understanding and experience with the Defence Procurement Policy Manual (DPPM) highly desirable.Experience working in Defence Industry or Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) environment highly desirable.Demonstrated knowledge of logistics processes and customs regulations.Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance.What it's like to work with Navantia AustraliaWe recognise that it's our people who are our greatest asset and are committed to giving all employees the opportunity to grow their skills, gain valuable experience, develop professionally, and work on exciting diverse projects.
