About the roles Are you a Procurement expert seeking to contribute to a high performing team?
DLGSC is looking to establish a pool of Procurement Specialists to appoint to permanent, fixed term, full time and part time positions, as they arise over the next 12 months. We currently have two, permanent full time (75 hrs p/f) positions available. Whilst these positions are full time, the department may consider part time/job share arrangements for the right candidate(s).
As a Procurement Officer , you will assist in ensuring procurement practices within DLGSC comply with relevant Government, public sector and agency policies and procedures.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Developing low to medium risk contracts, negotiating effectively with key stakeholders.
Assisting business areas define their procurement needs by providing effective advice.
Assist in maintaining DLGSC's procurement best practice, assessing compliance and recommending appropriate improvements.
As a Senior Procurement Officer , you will directly ensure procurement within DLGSC complies with the relevant Government, public sector and agency policies and procedures, whilst providing high level advice and mentorship within the team.
You will be responsible for, but are not limited to:
Developing medium to high-risk contracts, including procurement planning, tender and evaluation documentation.
Conducting business planning to identify and progress towards new contract opportunities for business areas and DLGSC.
Provide specialist advice and maintain internal and external relationships with the Department of Finance and business areas.
Those in possession of relevant tertiary qualifications or knowledge of Government Procurement policies, guidelines and practices are encouraged to apply.
