About the role With a growing team and an exciting line-up of projects coming up, we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join the MPA team. This is a new role created to oversee our subcontractor supply chain, critical to the successful delivery of our projects. Reporting to the Commercial & Procurement Director, you will work closely with our project leaders to assign contracts with our preferred subcontractors. You will be the key contact with our subcontractors to manage their engagement, contract terms, performance, and compliance with Modern Slavery and other legislative requirements. You will also lead the procurement process for new subcontractor certification.
Key responsibilities for this role are: Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, negotiating favourable and commercial contract terms. Ensure active engagement and effective dispute management of any scope of work, quality or performance disputes.Work closely with our Project Managers to manage the lifecycle of subcontractor scope of works, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project specifications and requirements. Oversee the allocation of works to selected subcontractors based on defined selection criteria.Oversee a robust supplier certification process, ensuring that all suppliers and subcontractors meet both the required procurement procedure and ethical standards.Conduct ongoing evaluation across supplier performance, execution quality, diversity, volume and annual spend. Celebrate exemplary performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary modifications.Conduct comprehensive reviews to ensure due diligence and compliance with our policies and practices including procurement, Health & Safety, Modern Slavery, Environmental and Quality.About you You will have 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Project Management/Coordination and/or Contract Management, having worked closely with subcontractors and/or contractors.Construction experience is mandatory, fitout or refurbishment experience is highly desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with all stakeholders.Strong commercial management, successfully managing costs, negotiations and opportunities to ensure financial success.Quality control and customer satisfaction focus.Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or other industry related degree.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.What we offer Great places are powered by passionate people.
