Procurement Category Specialist - Capital Equipment

Job Description This position is crucial in leading procurement support for clinical capital purchases, equipment replacements, and maintenance.
Category Strategy Development: Develop and maintain category strategies that align with business objectives and operational requirements. Strategic Sourcing and Implementation: Lead and manage strategic sourcing activities, negotiations, tender evaluations, and other key initiatives through to contracting and implementation, including change management. Cost Optimisation: Identify and deliver initiatives and process improvements that drive cost savings, efficiencies, and improved sustainability across the company. Supplier Relationship Management: Embed robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes across all clinical capital spend categories and suppliers. Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks, ensuring compliance with ESG program. Performance Monitoring: Track, analyse, and report procurement and supplier performance within each category. Provide detailed cost savings and process improvement reports in dashboards and monthly updates. Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop a collaborative engagement model with internal stakeholders, procurement colleagues, and supplier representatives to achieve timely and commercially positive outcomes. The Successful Applicant Results-oriented with a proven ability to convert opportunities into cost savings. Ability to perform under pressure with sound business acumen, strong analytical and commercial skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. Previous exposure to medical equipment procurement. Experience drafting contract terms and conditions, including SLAs and KPIs for capital equipment. Solid understanding of procurement methodologies, category management, and supplier relationship management. Strong commercial acumen and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
