What you'll contribute to An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Procurement Buyer – Service Parts & Accessories to join our Finance & Procurement division in a Max Term role for 2 years.
The Finance and Procurement Division is responsible for providing the business with corporate support with respect to all finance and purchasing activities in order to enable TMCA to execute its strategy and achieve its objectives.
The Procurement Buyer - Service Parts & Accessories, is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of service parts & accessories competitive sourcing strategies through supplier negotiations to ensure optimal supplier selection, management and mix with respect to customer centricity, quality, cost, sustainability and compliance.
This role is based in Altona with flexible work arrangements on offer.
Some travel to our Port Melbourne office will be required.
How you'll make an impact Coordinate the assessment and selection of suppliers in accordance with established commodity strategies through formal RFQ processes, ensuring timely delivery of service parts and accessories at the expected quality and optimal cost.
Enhance corporate profitability through ongoing supplier management, ensuring that suppliers meet and improve performance levels while proactively identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of service parts and accessories commodity strategies that align with established policies, aiming to achieve supplier selection objectives focused on customer centricity, quality, cost, sustainability, and compliance.
Assist in the development, continuous improvement, and standardization of processes and procedures for purchasing service parts and accessories to optimize the end-to-end procurement process.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and issues, ensuring that key operational activities are aligned and communicated effectively.
Implement key projects in line with service parts and accessories purchasing strategies to ensure continuity of supply and meet project milestones that support broader TMCA objectives.
Maintain reporting systems to provide accurate and timely information for planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Adhere to established purchasing policies and regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and minimize Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities.

Degree qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably within the automotive sector.
Strong logical, analytical, and quantitative skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Solid understanding of cost estimation principles related to product specifications.
Proven track record in successfully delivering projects and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
