We are currently seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role as the first point of contact for their business unit is to identify and develop business opportunities while effectively managing projects and contracts from start to finish. The Procurement Business Partner will oversee the local procurement specialist team for their assigned business unit, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between the procurement specialist team, local sourcing teams, and Above Market category teams.
A strong understanding of financial concepts and their impact on the P&L is crucial, as the Business Partner will collaborate with business unit controllers to deliver benefits across all value levers, employing a total cost of ownership mindset. This role requires a deep understanding of the local supply and operating environment, allowing for effective integration of requirements and constraints into strategic planning at both the local and Above Market levels.
The Business Partner will drive the development, management, and prioritization of procurement activities, ensuring effective delivery against business unit strategies. Additionally, they will lead, drive, and monitor the success of procurement in achieving local business goals, working closely cross functionally to periodically reassess targeting and actions.
Responsibilities: Identify and pursue business growth opportunities, utilizing business analytics for performance improvement.Lead and drive projects, including early involvement in product development processes and supplier-led innovation forums.Conduct local risk and opportunity assessments to identify, understand and proactively manage risk to the business.Partner with business senior leaders and senior stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.Resolve escalated issues with suppliers, lead and embed local Supplier Relationship Management activities.Provide leadership and coaching across the team, leveraging a continuous improvement mindset.Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role along with Strategic Buying experience.
