About our company Kestrel is one of the world's largest producing underground coking, or metallurgical coal mines and produces around 7 million tonnes of metallurgical coal annually. Our coal is shipped to key markets in Asia and Europe to be used in the steel making process. The mine is located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 40km Northeast of Emerald in Central QLD. Our team's capability covers the entire mining process, from development to extraction and processing, environmental management and sustainable rehabilitation. We have an approved life of mine until 2033 and reserves to 2046 with the potential to increase further.

About the opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Business Partner (Purchasing) to join the Kestrel Coal team based in Brisbane Office. In this role you will support the Kestrel team by ensuring timely and efficient purchasing of materials and services for our operations and corporate office. This role requires an understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to continuous improvement initiatives.
What's on Offer: Be a part of a collaborative team environment.Generous salary package and annual incentive scheme.Salary sacrificing and salary packaging options.Generous Health Benefits including options for subsidised private health insurance.Working for an organisation that values their people and will invest in your future.In this role, you will support Kestrel by: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to conduct procurement activities that align with business goals and drive cost savings.Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers, overseeing their performance to ensure high standards of quality and reliability.Evaluate and enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.Utilising SAP and Ariba procurement systems to create purchase orders, expedite and track performance across the inbound supply chain.Stay informed on market trends and conditions providing insight to support procurement decisions.About you: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or a related discipline.Demonstrated experience in a similar role.Proven experience in SAP and Ariba procurement modules.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.Proficiency with Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook).At Kestrel, we are ONE.
