You will have the opportunity to have major input into leading and motivating the Production workforce, bringing the plant online and setting up the initial operating systems.This supervisor position is offered on a Kalgoorlie residential basis, initially working Monday to Friday during brief training and familiarisation period, then transitioning to the even-time 7 / 7 rotating roster of day and night shift.
Rotations between the Dayshift Supervisors (5/2/4/3) to Shift Supervisors (7/7) will likely occur on an annual basis, subject to business needs.If you are looking for an exciting leadership opportunity to work in a brand-new plant, expanding your mineral processing knowledge with a future facing commodity, plus long mine life ahead of it, this role would be suited to you.You will be Responsible for:The day-to-day management of the processing plant with a team of process technicians as direct reportsEnsuring a safe working environment is maintained and that the plant is run to Lynas standardsIdentifying and implementing safety and production improvementsCompleting suitable investigations into any incidents that occurEnsuring operational readiness of the plant from a production and operating perspectivePlanning, training and diversification of skills for your crewDevelop, implement and maintain fit for purpose operating procedures and strategiesTake ownership of plant performance and achieve targetsProviding support, guidance, mentoring and direction to your teamRequired skills and experience:Unwavering approach to safety leadershipAbility to build relationships with key stakeholders, such as maintenance, technical and environment personnel to ensure compliant optimum plant performanceExtensive experience in an operational processing plant environment, leading operating teamsStrong desire to take ownership in ensuring the plant operations is a successControl room, Isolation, and/or Permit to Work operational experiencePrior experience with the operation of heavy mobile machinery (fork lift, telehandler, skid steer, overhead gantry crane)Strong time management and problem-solving skillsetsSolid soft skills across the Microsoft Suite of softwareSchedule 26 (of WHS Mines Regs) trainingRelevant High Risk Work LicenseMinimum WA unencumbered C class drivers' license, or aboveMust reside within the Goldfields region for our residential operation.Lynas Rare Earths was established as an ethical and environmentally responsible producer of rare earth materials and is the world's only significant producer of separated rare earth materials outside of China.The Lynas values of care, achievement, expertise, diversity and sustainability guide our decision making.
