About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Processing Manager to join our team during an exciting phase of growth and opportunity.
This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the operational and maintenance functions of our Hemi Gold Processing & Refining facilities, utilizing a Concentrate Pressure Oxidation (POX) recovery process.
The successful candidate will guide the Project through its operational readiness, commissioning, ramp-up, and eventual nameplate production phases.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in managing the startup and delivery of large, complex processing operations.
Strong expertise in comminution, flotation, POX or HPAL processing, CIL, and maintenance is essential for success in this role.
Reporting directly to the General Manager Operations, you will be responsible for:
Developing, leading, implementing, and maintaining safe work procedures, promoting safety, health, and environmental awareness within the Processing and Processing Maintenance teams.Leading and participating in incident and hazard reporting, risk identification, and control processes.Overseeing hazardous substance monitoring, health surveillance, and other health management processes.Ensuring effective communication of Health, Safety, Environment, and Community issues to team leaders.Providing operational input into plant design to the Project Team through design reviews and HAZOP workshops.Leading the Operational Readiness effort for the Hemi Gold Processing & Refining facilities to ensure the required people, systems, and processes are in place to effectively transition from the construction and commissioning to the operations.Leading day-to-day operations, including maintenance of processing, refining, and POX plants to achieve production and maintenance goals.Implementing and monitoring strategies to maximize gold recovery and optimize plant performance.Providing expert operational guidance on Concentrate and POX processing, tailing storage facilities, fixed plant maintenance planning, and process control troubleshooting.Managing and delivering process plant production, asset maintenance, and quality targets within budget.Ensuring compliance with De Grey policies and government permit requirements.Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processing efficiencies and recovery rates.Staying current with industry trends and advancements in Processing and POX technology.Driving continuous improvement in safety culture and emergency response preparedness.Collaborating with technical teams to analyze key plant performances and implement process enhancements.About YouBachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 10 years of experience in a mineral processing role within the gold mining industry, including at least 3 years managing a Pressure Oxidation Processing or High-Pressure Acid Leaching facility.Expertise in Crushing, Grinding, CIL, Flotation, POX/HPAL, and Gold Refining processes.Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and community regulations in mining.Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.Advanced metallurgical knowledge in the operation of large-scale gold processing facilities.Commitment to fostering a safe working environment.Strong people management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience in budgeting, cost control, and maintenance planning.This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in a dynamic, growing organization.
