With a population projected to grow by 16.5% to over 100,000 residents by 2041, PMHC is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state.The Utilities Operations Group, which consists of approximately 150 staff members out of PMHC's total workforce of around 650 employees, plays a crucial role in supporting the local community. They are responsible for managing and maintaining a network that includes 4 Water Treatment Plants, 8 Wastewater Treatment Plants, 1 Recycled Water Treatment Plant, 20 water pump stations, 45 reservoirs, 840 km of water mains, 34,500 water service connections, 167+ sewage pump stations, over 665 km of sewer pipes, and 13,900 manholes.Within the Utilities Operations Group, as the Process Manager, you will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of water and wastewater process treatment plants and bulk water distribution.You will lead a team of 3 direct and 20+ indirect reports, ensuring high service levels to the community. Reporting to the Group Manager Utilities Operations, you will collaborate with a supportive leadership team managing essential utilities services.To succeed in this role, you will have:A Degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or another recognised degree in another discipline with relevant experience to the position.Proven skills and experience in the utilities sector managing process, treatment and bulk distribution related to water and/or sewer, or significant experience deemed relevant related to fulfilling this role.Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to manage, coach and develop teams and influence others' thinking and actions to bring about desired results.Proven experience at managing operational teams and performance delivery to achieve KPI's, budget and operational plan outcomes.Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation with experience of managing safety and developing a positive safety culture.Ability to participate in after-hours on-call roster on a regular basis.On a typical day, this role will:Provide leadership for daily operations maintenance and repairs of Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants and bulk water distribution network.Ensure processes and protocols are in place for the group's compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.Manage people and their performance to realise their individual and group potential to an optimal level.Manage financial targets for the group and contribute to financial objectives for the Division which contribute to the framework for strategic decision making, financial sustainability and goal setting.Ensure the after-hours and on-call services are well managed; participation in the on-call roster will be required.Deliver process capital projects in accordance with the adopted Project Management Framework.Remuneration and BenefitsEmployment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per weekSalary (exclusive of super): In the range of $122,466 to $137,849 depending on skills and experience.Allowance: On-call / 3.5% Civil Liability AllowanceThis role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowances.Relocation assistance or short-term rental contributions can also be made available.Flexible work arrangements - hybrid working and flexi-time.Discounted gym membership through membership to Fitness Passport.Annual salary increase as per the Local Government (State) Award 2023 plus annual salary review.Long service leave after 5 years.Generous employee assistance program.Salary packaging options available through Salary Packaging Australia and Maxxia.Recognition through our annual awards ceremony celebrating and rewarding staff achievements.About the Port Macquarie Hastings RegionThe region is one of Australia's most enviable locations.
