Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
At Timberlink we embrace innovation, and this drives our constant growth. We are currently building two purpose-built manufacturing plants to adjoin our existing facilities at both of our sites. Complementing our already diverse range of products, we will be manufacturing new timber products including cross laminated & glue laminated timber (NeXTimber) and wood-plastic composite decking & screening, expanding our business into new markets in 2023. These products will take Timberlink from being primarily a structural timber manufacturer to a structural engineered timber products and solutions business.

About the role: With a brand-new CLT/GLT plant, along with the completion of an $90 million upgrade to the existing site, our Tarpeena site is fast becoming a world class manufacturing facility and we are now searching for a skilled Process Improvement Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will lead the implementation of an Process Improvement program across the Tarpeena site that ensures continuous improvement (CI) and a workplace culture that facilitates aligned, engaged, and enabled employees, delivering ongoing improvements.
This permanent, full time position reports directly to the General Manager and is located at our prestigious sawmill in Tarpeena – conveniently located in wine country, 20 minutes out of Mount Gambier – an amazing opportunity to enjoy the perfect work/life balance.
Your key responsibilities will include: Champion safety first behaviours and the Timberlink values in all that you do as well as manage and set the expectations for your direct reports (x2) as well as the broader team by providing regular feedback against set performance standards.  Implement Process Improvement framework across the site through consultation and engagement with employees and stakeholders.  Lead operation best practice against CI framework and identify priority areas for improvement and inclusion in business planning.  Manage CI programs and improvements based on accurate single source data with analysis that effectively identifies opportunities for improvement.  Coordinate the sites annual productivity target and workforce planning process by engagement with the site at all levels to identify opportunities to increase operational effectiveness and establish a pipeline of future improvement Supporting the development, planning and execution of site business plans Develop employee capability at all levels in skills required to implement and sustain a CI culture by delivering training and coaching. Communicate, consult, and engage with employees and stakeholders to promote, ensure alignment, and engagement of all employees for the CI program. Qualifications and Qualities that you will bring to Timberlink: Degree qualification in Engineering or comparable experience Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or process environment Ability to maintain personal resilience and deliver on priorities  Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Timberlink is an equal opportunity employer, we encourage all applicants with the RIGHT TO WORK in Australia to apply.
