An exciting opportunity now presents itself to join the University as our Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Education and Student Experience (PVC). The PVC is responsible for achieving UQ's strategic education and student experience objectives including digital learning, development, and recognition of excellent teaching. The PVC also has responsibility for quality assurance and enhancement, curriculum reform and renewal, and research in teaching and learning that centres on improving student learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will be expected to bring a strong personal commitment and reputation in both research and education, as well as a broad understanding of the differing needs and modes of education across disciplines. The next PVC will possess a thorough appreciation of the methods of education delivery, and the criticality of the student experience. They will be an effective communicator, comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and have demonstrable leadership experience and management of teams, including both academic and professional services staff.
The incoming PVC will join UQ at a time of great excitement within Brisbane, as the city prepares for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032.
