About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Revenue Team. The Private Patient Services Team provides a comprehensive range of patient-focused services including engaging with all planned and unplanned privately and self-insured patients regarding the benefits of being a private patient at St Vincent's Hospital, assisting international patients by liaising with international insurers and facilitating uninsured patients with the payment of their hospital accounts, submission of all local, international and compensable accommodation and prosthesis claims in a timely manner.
The role requires the provision of a high level of customer service and advice to key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation in relation to private patient financial matters for the hospital.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Private Patient Service Officer who possesses a passion for person-centered care. We welcome applications from people who have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are proactive, and have the ability to positively engage with various levels of stakeholders.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
2. High level analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven capacity to develop sound solutions to complex issues and conflict resolution.
3. Exceptional verbal/written communication skills with the ability to critically analyze information and prepare clear concise reports and business/client communication for management.
4. Knowledge of the health insurance industry from a Public Hospital perspective, knowledge of the provisions of the Australian Care Agreement and Medicare, and advanced understanding of the NSW Ministry of Health Fees Procedure Manual for Public Health Organisations.
5. Ability to work at a high level of effectiveness autonomously and as part of a team with proven time management and organisational skills.
6. High level advocacy and negotiation skills with well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships.
7. Relationship marketing and sales experience and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of patient administration and billing systems.
8. Ability to work a 7 rotating roster including after hours.
