This is your opportunity to join as a Privacy Compliance Manager (12 Month Fixed Term), working closely with the Legal, Risk and Data teams and reporting to the Executive General Manager of Legal.
This role is part-time, 4 days per week.

What's on offer: A place where you can move your career forward, where you'll be continuously backed to make new ideas happen, and the chance to do work that makes real, significant impact in the world.We're proud to be recognised as one of Australia's Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work, a Family Friendly Workplace, a WORK180 endorsed employer for women and WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.The support of a highly engaged, high-performing team including a leadership team that you'll actually have face time with.22 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers, four weeks paid secondary caregivers leave, six weeks paid gender affirming care leave.Job Description What you'll do: Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures and training predominantly in the Australian business.Conduct privacy impact assessments and report on risks.Support the implementation of a data scanning and consent management tool.Conduct regular audits and assessments and take corrective action when necessary.Support the legal team in investigating and responding to privacy incidents.Work closely with a group of Privacy Champions across the business.Stay up to date with privacy laws and regulations.Liaise with overseas privacy functions as needed.Qualifications What we are looking for? Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that connect you to our behaviours (we change the game, we own it, we step in, we are curious, we don't take ourselves too seriously).Strong experience in a privacy-focused role.Sound knowledge of proposed upcoming Australian Privacy Act reforms.Ability to create privacy training material.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with data mapping tools or consent management platforms viewed favourably.Exposure to international jurisdictions, international privacy compliance and frameworks (particularly GDPR and CCPA) and technology businesses viewed favourably.Experience with privacy audits, gap analysis and follow-up, together with privacy tools and practices viewed favourably.Additional Information carsales is an equal opportunity employer and we pride ourselves on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
