Your new company Our medium to large sized client based in Perth is seeking a Privacy & Information Projects Officer to join their team. The suitable candidate for this position will be offered a 12-month fixed-term contract with full-time hours from Monday to Friday. This organisation holds a large focus on wellbeing within the Western Australian community and is often working on numerous community projects. The role will be supporting various Project Managers and working alongside a team of two.
Interstate applications will be considered, but please note relocation costs will not be included.

Your new role As a Privacy & Information Project Officer, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
Monitoring, developing, and working with data breach policy Strategically leading a small team of two to achieve set timeframes Actively promoting the benefits of responsible information sharing and setting up appropriate safeguards for sensitive information Ensuring the organisation complies with relevant privacy legislation Monitoring compliance and managing risk management of privacy sharing within the organisation Become the first point of contact for staff who have questions regarding privacy management practices Develop and monitor privacy management planning What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience in a similar role will be essential, as will:
Experience and strong understanding of requirements for privacy and information sharing Proactive, pragmatic and outcomes focused Experience in development and implementation of policy as well as working with legislative changes (ideally within the privacy and information sharing domain) A strategic thinker who can deliver quality work in tight timeframes Knowledge of data breach policy, policy development and policy writing Legal backgrounds would be looked upon highly desirably What you'll get in return In return for your positive contributions to this organisation, you'll be offered:
