We're looking for a Print and Cut Operator to join our growing team and help deliver exceptional print results every day.
About the role If you are able to confidently operate a range of digital printers, we would love to meet you! Former handling with HP/Swisse Q/Fujifilm/Cannon/JHF models is desired. You should also have knowledge of running finishing equipment from guillotine to laser/flat bed cutter through to laminator.
You will be working at our state-of-the-art facilities based in South Granville, and the position is available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities: Operation Monitoring - Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Troubleshooting - Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it. Monitor print quality throughout production, making adjustments to settings as necessary to ensure consistent results. Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure that print jobs are completed on time and to client specifications. Quality Control - Have good understanding large format print process and material. Ensure accurate colour management and quality control, adjusting digital files and prints as needed. Managing Jobs - Use work follow software to manage jobs and update job status; keep detailed records of job logs, including materials used, job specifications, and any issues that arise during production. Cleaning and calibrating equipment - Ensure a safe, organized clean work environment while adhering to company health and safety protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in digital printing or related fields is a plus. Proven experience operating digital printers in a digital printing company or similar environment. Strong understanding of digital printing processes, file formats (e.g., PDF, TIFF, JPG), and color management techniques. Knowledge of various print media (e.g., paper, vinyl, banners) and the ability to handle different types of digital print jobs. Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality control. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address technical issues promptly. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
