We are quickly becoming a preferred supplier to the Defence Industry (including SEA, AIR, LAND, Joint, ICT, and Facilities). We are seeking high-performing senior professionals with strong defence experience to join our expanding team.
About the Opportunity
You will be responsible for providing advanced industry knowledge, marketing, and technical and professional capabilities to our line of business. Leveraging your defence industry experience and expertise, you'll focus on driving business development and providing technical leadership in the Victoria and South Australia markets. You'll join the leadership team and have the opportunity to lead projects, establish client relationships, manage and develop employees, and support the growth of the defence portfolio. Due to security clearance requirements, this opportunity is open to Australian citizens only. While this role is based in Melbourne, occasional travel to Adelaide and within Australia will be required.
As our Principal, you'll also:
Deliver Project Manager services, including project controls, planning, and scheduling in the defence sector. Provide defence technical expertise to our staff and clients. Engage with clients and stakeholders on various Defence projects throughout the project lifecycle. Drive business development, securing and delivering new business opportunities. Contribute to our national defence management team. Be responsible for technical delivery, employee engagement, and the development and mentoring of staff. Experience Requirements
Over 10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in the Defence sector. Proven leadership skills in developing, mentoring, and coaching team members. Strong business networking and relationship-building capabilities. Experience in securing and delivering new business opportunities (desirable). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Relevant Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Project Management, or Business) and NV1 security clearance (or willingness to obtain). Expertise in complex projects, engineering environments, project design, risk management, and project controls. Proficiency in project controls/scheduling software is a plus. Next Steps
