The RoleTechnical Lead Structural on various projectsEngineering Design calculations / Analysis / Checks and ReviewsProvide technical direction and mentoring to the Structural / Civil Team from concept through to detailed engineering DesignDeveloping efficient structural engineering designs and overseeing the design documentation.Involvement in business development activities, including bids and client interactions.Proficient with Analysing structural systems using the latest softwareClient coordination including meeting our clients' expectations and project objectives.Technical ReportsPreparation of Tender SubmissionsProject Management for the delivery of consulting projectsTeam Management and ReviewSoftware and System ImplementationStructural Engineering Audits and System ImprovementsCommercial and Monthly project reporting if requiredSite inspections within Australia as requiredAbout YouBachelor or Masters Degree in Civil / Structural EngineeringAustralian recognised Structural/Civil Engineering degree that satisfies the entry requirements for Chartered membership with Engineers AustraliaMinimum 15 years of previous experience working within an engineering consultant environment or in equipment, piping, process and/or mining-related design.Excellent communication skills when working with cross-function teams.Proven time management and project coordination skillsHigh level of attention to detail and documentation writingLiaising with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentationsAccess to local industry knowledge and contactsProven ability to manage deadlines over multiple projectsAbility and willingness to undertake travel as required to meet Project needsRemuneration and BenefitsFlexible working arrangementsSupportive management and environmentClose to public transport including train and busesDiscounted health insurance and health servicesEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid membership with Engineers Australia
