About St Bernard's Primary School

St. Bernard's is a Catholic co-educational primary school situated on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales.
St Bernard's aims to create a strong sense of belonging and integrate faith into everyday life. The team is committed to nurturing each student's academic, spiritual and emotional development and provide a quality, contemporary, Catholic education tailored to the needs of individual students. We recognise that each student brings a unique set of experiences, including cultural, emotional, spiritual, and social backgrounds.

The Principal of St Bernard's leads a team of 42 employees and a student cohort of 384*. We are seeking a Principal who will actively engage with the community and increase school enrolments under their leadership.

Possess academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (Master's degree or five-year equivalent).
Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of curriculum, assessment and student welfare issues, including child protection
experience in leading inclusive teaching and learning communities.
Demonstrated capacity to make data-informed decisions to inform teaching and learning.
Demonstrated ability to integrate the use of information and communication technologies to both engage students in their learning and prepare them for an increasingly technological society.
Demonstrated experience in building teacher capacity and managing the performance of individuals and teams.
Demonstrated capacity to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to improve teaching and learning
strong interpersonal skills and effective change agent with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, including parents, other systemic principals, Catholic Education personnel and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to meet the five leadership practices of our Leadership Framework.
Be accredited, or willing to undergo accreditation, to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.

The names and contact details of at least four referees. You must nominate the Catholic Priest of the Parish you attend and attach a written Reference Check .

You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
