Provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams within Charles River.
Responsibilities: Drive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design, develop, test and debug complex data models, ELT code generation and execution using metadata models and enhancements within various technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation using Java, SQL or other related software engineering languagesParticipate actively in the design of product architecture within the team's scope of responsibility pertaining to new data models development and ELT code generation and executionProvide thought leadership in the design of product architecture within and beyond the team's scope of responsibilityDirect problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve advanced software technical issuesActively participate in cross-team co-ordination to understand and solve data flow requirements of Data Warehouse teamAct as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Data Warehouse initiatives, answer questions raised in future about the productIdentify ways of improving development test methodologies contribute to related test methodology frameworksCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to turn business requirements of moderate complexity into working and sustainable softwareCome up with a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for larger initiativesWrite unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality productConduct manual tests (if necessary) to ensure a high-quality productContribute to written design and API documentation, and participate in customer documentation processActively assist team leaders in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectivesWork with peers in a collaborative team environmentProvide mentoring to junior and senior staff membersProvide engaging demos of developed features to stakeholdersProvide troubleshooting guidelines for operational issues#CRDPolan
